Long Trail

Introduction

View from Killington

This is the tale of the 100 mile walk that Beth and I took on the Long Trail in Vermont. We started in Massachusetts on the Pine Cobble Trail and headed north. We had no set date for quiting. I had blocked out a month of our summer for the trip, but the trip could have been 3 days to 30 days long. After a few days Beth made the decision of 2 weeks. I was actually very surprised. It poured on us for the first three days and I figured we would bail out at Bennington (our first chance to leave the trail), but a little rain didn't scare her. So we had a wonderful two weeks of mother and daughter bonding.
